Aerial Lifting and Rigging Training

The aerial lifting and rigging training course comprises half a day theory training followed by 1 and a half days practical rigging and lifting training. All delegates will be exposed to telecoms towers, pylon structures and lattice towers of up to 30 metres in height plus sample telecoms dishes of various shapes and sizes will be used for assessment and training.
It is a pre-requirement before delegates can attend this course that they must have completed an advanced climbing and rescue course or equivalent.
On successful completion of the course, all delegates will have the ability to:
  • Assess loads, towers and the surrounding environment to plan a safe lift of equipment to be mounted on a tower section
  • Select appropriate lifting equipment and conduct pre use inspections
  • Set up lifting systems with mechanical advantage to lift equipment onto a tower structure
  • Set up systems to allow controlled lowering of equipment from a tower structure

Training can only take place at a specialist training venue based in Cheshire.
