Lifting and Slinging Training (Practical)

Lifting and slinging training (Practical) is a half day practical course normally run in conjunction with a Lifting and Slinging Training (Theory) course which is a pre-requisite to practical training. It is aimed at any persons who will be practically using lifting equipment at work. Up to 10 delegates can be trained per session.
Delegates are assessed on their ability to be able to: plan a safe lift, assess the load, identify suitable equipment to be used, conduct pre-use checks of lifting equipment and practically sling and lift an object. Various lifting samples (loads) will be used and lifting equipment to include:

  • Synthetic Slings
  • Chain Slings
  • Wire Rope
  • Eyebolts
  • Shackles
  • Hooks
  • Chain Hoists
