Lifting and Slinging Training
Lifting and Slinging Training (Theory) - This module is a half day theoretical course; It is aimed at any employees or managers involved in any aspects of planning or conducting lifting operations requiring a level of knowledge and competence.
Lifting and Slinging Training (Practical) - This module is a half day practical course, it is normally run in conjunction with a lifting and slinging (theory) course. It is aimed at workers who will be practically conducting lifting operations using slinging techniques.
Slinger Signaller Training - This module is a one day course comprising theoretical and practical elements. It is aimed at workers who will need to conduct practical slinging and operate as a banksman signalling movements to a crane driver.
Advanced Rigging and Lifting Training - This module is a 3 day course comprising of theoretical and practical elements. It is aimed at operatives who will be conducting rigging activities involving moving heavy loads around site using a variety of rigging and slinging techniques.
Overhead Crane Training - This module is a one or two day practical training course. The course will enable users to conduct pre-use inspections and operate overhead pendant cranes. The course also covers practical lifting and slinging techniques below the hook incorporating the lifting and slinging practical module.
HIAB Training (Includes Slinging) - This module is a 2 day training course aimed at operators of lorry mounted (HIAB) cranes. The training comprises both theoretical and practical elements and will enable operatives to prepare, operate and maintain this type of equipment. The course also includes training in slinging techniques.
Lifting Equipment Inspection Training - This module is a full day course incorporating both theoretical and practical inspection elements. It is aimed at persons who wish to perform formal recorded inspections upon items of lifting equipment.
Aerial Lifting and Rigging Training - A specialist training course for the telecommunications sector. The training course is conducted on a dedicated site in Cheshire on 20m high towers and is aimed at those who will need to lift and rig heavy loads at height.
Lifting and Slinging Training Information
RIG Training supply lifting and slinging training courses to enable the safe use and inspection of lifting equipment. All training courses are carried out in accordance with LOLER 1998 and the current LEEA code of practice. These courses can be carried out at your own site or at specific training centres in Cheshire or London.
On completion of any lifting and slinging training course, successful delegates will be issued with a certificate and ID card. These will be valid for three years, after which it is recommended delegates seek refresher training.
