REUK Wind Turbine Climbing and Rescue Training

The Renewable UK Work at Height and Rescue for wind turbines is a 2 day training course. On the first day; Delegates will be trained to select suitable work at height equipment, conduct pre-use inspections and safely access and work inside a wind turbine. The second day will comprise of educating delegates as to the rescue and evacuation equipment commonly found inside wind turbines. Delegates will then be assessed on their ability to deploy the equipment to evacuate themselves and rescue a fallen colleague.
Delegates will be trained to use the following equipment:
  • Harnesses 
  • Fall Arrest Lanyards 
  • Work Position Lanyards 
  • Fixed Fall Arrest Systems (Latchway, Railok etc) 
  • Rescue and Evacuation kits
This training is carried out at a training centre in Cheshire only.  On successful completion of the training, delegates will be awarded a certificate and ID card valid for a two year period.
