Work at Height Training

Safety Harness User TrainingThis is a half day theory training course aimed at persons who will be working using safety harnesses and associated fall protection equipment.

Safety Harness Inspection Training - This is a half day theory course normally run in conjunction with safety harness user training over one full day. It is aimed at persons required to conduct formal, recorded inspections on height safety equipment.

Fall Arrest Equipment Training - This is a half day practical work at heighttraining module aimed at any persons who will be practically using fall prevention and fall arrest equipment in any environments.

Rooftop Safety TrainingThis is a half day practical work at height training module aimed at any persons who will be practically working on rooftops and/or near to open edges using fall protection equipment.

Advanced IndustrialClimbing and Rescue Training - This is a two day training module comprised of theoretical and practical elements. It is aimed at persons who will be gaining access, egress and working on large structures. e.g. Telecoms Engineers, Pylon Workers, Weather Mast Workers.

Management of Work at Height Training - This is a full day theory training module aimed at managers and supervisors who will be involved in the planning and risk assessment of tasks to be carried out at height.

REUK Wind Turbine Climbing and Rescue Training - This is a 2 day training module aimed at workers who will need to gain access on to wind turbine structures. The course will train in both climbing and rescue techniques.

About RIG Work At Height Training

RIG Training are specialist suppliers of work at height training courses educating delegates in the safe use of harnesses, lanyards and associated equipment. All of these training courses can be carried out either at your own venue or at specialist training centres in Cheshire, London and across the UK. Facilities for work at height training include 20 Metre Towers, a specially designed 15 Metre steel structure and indoor wind turbine simulator in Cheshire and a dedicated scaffold structure in North London.  

All work at height training is conducted in accordance with "BS8454:2006 code of practice for the delivery of training in work at height and rescue"

On completion of any work at height training course, successful delegates will be issued with a certificate and ID card. These will be valid for three years (2 years for REUK Wind Turbine Training), after which it is recommended delegates seek refresher training.

Work at Height Training - Course Entry Criteria

During training, delegates will be expected to carry out practical activities at height.

All delegates must be able to certify that they are physically fit and have no medical conditions that might prevent them completing practical training.
